The Club was founded ShardanaUSA March 18, 2000 by a group of Sardis residents in the metropolitan New York, the Constituent Assembly held its first meeting in the town of Port Washington (Long Island), NY. The Club enjoys the status of “non-profit corporation.” The Association is non-partisan, democratic, non-profit organization pursues and is committed to: a-unite the Sardis Sardis residents and friends of the United States, in order to strengthen the bonds of solidarity between fellow countrymen, to keep alive the links with the Sardinia and Sardinians, strengthen relationships with the local host communities; b-organize cultural events, recreation, folklore, exhibitions, festivals, conferences, debates, conventions and shows, in order to promote the image of Sardinia in all its aspects; c-intensify and strengthen relationships with the regional council to establish relationships with agencies, organizations, sardines, national and the host community, whose cooperation is contributing to the achievement of social objectives. Conferences and meetings were held in West Orange (New Jersey), Port Washington (New York), Montclair (NewJersey), Greenwich (Connecticut), Baltimore (Maryland), New York City. In autumn 2002, the Club has offered its cooperation for the participation of players of musical instruments orginie nuragica the Mediterranean ethnic music festival in New York, organized by World Music Institute, and collaboration ‘was renewed during the concert of a group Tenores of New York. In autumn 2003 he worked for the development of a travel-study work of a group of 13 mayors of Sardinia, to facilitate meetings, exchanges of views and experiences with the administrators of some towns in New Jersey. In May 2005 ‘was organized at Fordham University in New York, a conference on the Sardinian Language and Culture, with particular attention to the works of Nobel Prize winner Grazia Deledda. On the east coast of the United States, and ShardanaUSA ‘now become a point of reference for the Sardinians (sometimes passing) and for the whole of Sardinia. The club continues in its intention to be the main spokesman for the Community Network and the only ‘Sarda in the U.S..
